Chicken Jerky Strips

Description: Simple, one ingredient protein snack for your fur baby.
Cook time: 30 minutes or less


  • 2 COOKED, skinless, boneless chicken breasts. If possible, use organic chicken.

Kitchen Items:

  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Dehydrator or accurate oven
  • Freeze Dryer
  • Glass Storage Container


  1. Boil chicken breasts for 15-20 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into thin pieces.
  3. Place the chicken pieces into a dehydrator or low-temperature oven until the chicken is fully dried.
  4. Once the chicken is fully dehydrated, freeze-dry the slices.

  • Having a reliable home freeze dryer will help produce high-quality results.
  • Meats should be cooked beforehand to kill pathogens.
  • To ensure even drying, cut food into small uniform pieces.

Storage Instructions: When storing your treats, store them in an airtight container, this will prevent moisture from getting into the treat. To help prolong the shelf-life use oxygen absorbers. Always label the treat name and the date it was freeze dried. Exposure to light and heat can degrade the treat overtime, so store in a cool and dark place.
